Healing Dahl - an Instant Pot recipe


Tough not to love a machine that takes several ingredients and creates a nourishing stew in a matter of minutes. I was down with a cold yesterday and this did the trick - it was either the food itself or a combination of a warming dish and the gesture of nourishing my body with love. I'd say both.


In an Instant Pot, add:

3 small onion

2 cups whole green mung bean

1/2 of a large daikon - peeled and chopped

1 large carrot - peeled and chopped

1 medium zucchini - chopped

2 tsp fenugreek

1 Hawaiian chili

1 large nub of ginger

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp sea salt


Reserve: 1 bunch of cilantro & 1 bunch of basil


~ add water to cover 3/4 of the ingredients


~ close the lid and seal the vent. Set to "Bean Stew" for 25 minutes. When finished + chopped basil 🌿 chopped cilantro 🌱 several dashes of tamari & your favorite hot sauce to each serving & squeeze a bit of lemon on top.
